Some things I thought about while holding the remote last night....
At some point you knew that Steve Spurrier was going to make this game interesting. He is just too much of an offensive genius to not.
It's good to know that Coors Field is still....well Coors Field.
That I wished TCU head coach Gary Patterson would just stop berating the officials. You've won 13 in a row. You're about to lose. How bout some sort of class? It's not all their fault.
TCU was probably the better team for a large portion of that game. The better team everywhere but on the scoreboard.
That the SEC doesn't have the inter-conference transfer rule. Meaning players can transfer from one conference school to the other. Most other conferences prohibit transfers from later playing for other conference schools. I found this odd, or just maybe they realized that nobody follows the rules in the SEC, so why add more?
That I'm really liking USF's chances tonight against Rutgers.
That I really couldn't have been more wrong about the TCU game then I was last night. And that I was pretty much wrong about Auburn -- although that was sort of sneaky. I expected it to be close early and some late South Carolina mistakes to ruin their chances. But really those early turnovers, interception in the endzone, fumble in the red zone, had as much to do with the Gamecocks demise as the dropped TD pass late.
That they weren't really going to start a MLB game at 11:05 EST.
That Tommy Tuberville might be the greatest coach in the game right now. I mean seriously. He's coaching at a good program in a great conference, and he's got a great team just about all the time. Well done.
That I hope USC, Ohio State, or Auburn loses before the end of the year. Because its going to get pretty crazy if they don't. Personally right now, I might have to say USC and Auburn should play for the BCS.
That its good we don't have to include TCU in that equation right now.
That Boise State and Utah might be the best game of the weekend.
